🎈 Mount And Blade Bannerlord How To Stop Being A Mercenary
Doesn't matter how good you are when the AI factions all declare war on you and leave each other alone. I don't mind being in a multi front war, but when they are all leaving each other alone and it's just your faction versus the world. ♥♥♥♥ war system is a ♥♥♥♥ war system.
Even an mercenary working for a kingdom cannot -- despite the fact that adding parties led by your own companions doesn't cost influence. Being king of your own lets you form an army, but in order for you to have formed a kingdom you need a fief (e.g. one of Imperial culture if you're going along the Imperial quest line), so chicken/egg problem.
I've got two fiefs and six or seven villages. Unfortunately it seems that most of my time is involved in returning to the same two or three villages that are constantly being raided. Literally nonstop. Looking at the logs of enemy generals I capture, they each have raided, been captured, escaped, and made a new army to raid the same village
After disbanding the party the companion will just wander off to either the nearest city or nearest castle you own. After that you can either get him back into the party at your castle, or at a tavern in the city (they'll just join you at no expense). You also gotta give them some short time to do this.
It is absolutely same thing. Being vassal and having 6 companions with some Steward skill I can have 800 men army for 0 influence as long as I want. Nothing can stand against me at this point. But I don't mind, if there is some other way to train leadership skill at reasonable rate.
Steward skill - don't make my mistake! Bannerlord. Make sure you have at least 1 focus point assigned to the Steward skill in the early game, unless of course your character starts with some learning rate already. I thought I'd leave the skill alone as I was just being a mercenary and didn't need to own any settlements.
They'll defend themselves. If they're defeated and not taken prisoner, at some point, the NPC you assigned to the caravan will start waiting for you in a random citys tavern, you can go and pick them up; then, if you still want that character to trade, you'll have to pay for the caravan again. Last I checked, the price was 15000 for a regular
You can open the kingdom menu and leave through a button on the top right of the screen. It will be considered leaving unfavorably so you'll lose relations. Yes, basically lol. Only because it is currently bugged, you are supposed to be allowed to leave amicably after 30 days or renew your contract.
Kerem1111. • 3 yr. ago. I suppose you must have positive relations with the city. ThisPlaceIsNiice. • 3 yr. ago. There are probably better people to answer the question but afaik certain actions (and missions) give you criminal points - too many and you become a wanted criminal with its restrictions - and the criminal points decay a bit
